Our ever-popular model railroad camp introduces beginner modelers to the basics of creating a mock model railroad. Older campers will create a working model railroad.

Campers paint, plaster, lay track and construct a mini-town, complete with buildings, trees, trains, and people!

All SDMRM camps are immersive, hands-on, and led by enthusiastic education professionals.

Summer Camp Dates, Levels, Times:

  • June 16th to 20th  In-Person M-F, 9AM to 12PM, Grade: K-2nd BEGINNER

  • June 23rd to 27th  In-Person M-F,  9AM to 12PM, Grade: K-2nd BEGINNER                               

  • June 30th to July 3rd In-Person M-T, 9AM to 12PM, Grade: K-2nd BEGINNER (*Prorated 4 day camp)

  • June 30th to July 2nd   VIRTUAL 12:30PM to 2:00 PM, Grade: TK to end of 4th

  • July 7th to 11th In-Person M-F, 9AM to 12PM, Grade: 3rd- 5th APPRENTICE 

  • July 14th to 18th  In-Person M-F, 9AM to 12PM, Grade: 3rd-5th APPRENTICE

  • July 21st  to 23rd VIRTUAL 12:30PM to 2:00PM, Grade: TK to end of 4th 

  • July 21st to July 25th  In-Person M-F, 9AM to 12PM, Grade: 6th-8th INTERMEDIATE

  • July 28th to Aug 1st  In-Person M-F, 9AM to 12PM, Grade: 6th-9th ADVANCED
